The best-selling Zeekr 001 received drift and “full throttle” modes, launch control, improved cruise control

The Zeekr 001 electric car, popular not only in China but also in Russia, has received a significant software update. The company has officially released OS 5.2, which adds 20 new features and includes 36 improvements, making it the largest update for this model.

Particular attention in the new OS version is paid to improving driving safety. Key improvements include the optimization of the Blind Spot Warning (BSD) system, which is now activated at speeds from 5 km/h instead of the previous 15 km/h. The parking assist system has also been improved, with alarms now displayed as a water ripple effect on the instrument panel, making them more visible to the driver. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) has received expanded settings for the following distance to the vehicle in front.

One of the most important additions is the drift mode, which automatically adjusts the car for optimal controlled drift performance. In addition, a launch control function has been added, allowing you to take off as quickly as possible, and a “full throttle” mode to obtain increased power.

The multimedia system now supports fast file sharing via Wi-Fi, includes a new application for listening to music in the cloud, and integration with the QQ Music service. The Yamaha sound system has been optimized for improved playback quality.

In addition, the update enables full-time all-wheel drive, adds a snow mode for all-wheel drive versions, automatic ambient lighting control, and one-touch door closing and locking. The panoramic camera with a 360-degree view has been improved, the function of recording video from the recorder has been added, and the window lock and child lock settings have been optimized.
